Minding Our Business

One of the best classes i took of my college career was Minding our Business. We spent the semester working with PJ Hill middle schooler's located in Trenton. It was an after school project which encouraged the students to take part in entrepreneurial skills with the help of 3 mentors. the goal was to help them create a business and try and showcase and run the business at Market fair a community day designed for the children and their families to participate in what they worked on. Our group utilized a local artist who airbrushed tee shirts for us that we sold at a fraction of the cost. As well with the set money we received we took a risk and bought a bike to be raffled off. We were a success by earning the most money they had seen out of any of the years doing this program. I was fortunate to be a part of this organization as well i helped make a difference in the lives of children which is always rewarding.
