My name is Sarah Cohen, i am graduating student at Rider University. I will be getting a degree in Interpersonal Communication and Advanced Speech. I have always been interested in the arts, i took private art classes, this helped to enhance my art portfolio. I was accepted to Design school in Savannah but decided to but my art on the back burner.
As well as having a passion for design i am also very interested in business and community service. I volunteered at the Nantucket Film Festival for seven years. While there i worked for an accounting company and was giving a lot of responsibility caring for large sums money . This helped me to learn how to be responsible, and ready for anything. I am prepared for anything that challenges me. In addition to communications, I am also very interested in advertising. With the knowledge i have of arts and my intuition for business i took an internship at Sovereign Bank Arena, in the advertising and marketing department. I think this was important to develop more skills and knowledge of business, since i plan to own my own company someday.
If i had to guess where i saw myself in 5 years i would say, graduated with a master's degree and own a business. I have learned a lot about forming relationships and communication skills from Rider, now i am prepared to see what life has to bring me.

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThis blog definitely stands out with this color scheme. The content is also very good. I think it was good that you showcased the ways that a communications degree would help in an interior design field. The diversity in this blog was also very strong. Having posts about animal shelters, community service courses, and stem cell research show a wide variety of interests which is always good. I also thought that the pick of the week idea was interesting because it allows people who might be looking at this blog to see what is currently interesting to you. One minor criticism is that in the write up for the bio 'I' was left lowercase which could make a bad impression on someone who might read the blog. Other than that there was no problems and I feel that this is a very strong and creative blog.
